Restaurant Göran was named after the much loved travel writer Göran Schildt. Schildt’s sailing boat named Daphne is displayed in the middle of the restaurant, reminding everyone of unforgettable adventures, loyal travelling companions and the importance of coming home.

Located at the lower reaches of River Aurajoki, in the immediate vicinity of Turku Castle, the restaurant at the Forum Marinum Maritime Centre has a sea-like ambience. Restaurant Göran charms you with its exquisite food, atmosphere and adventurousness – the same spirit that used to lure seamen to roam the seas of the world.

At Restaurant Göran you can enjoy a delicious lunch every day – the day’s fish or a home-cooked lunch of your choice – and on weekends you can sit down to a hearty islander’s brunch. At other times, the selection of the café is worth exploring: in the gentle embrace of the Airisto sea breeze, a cup of coffee accompanied with a sweet or savoury pastry from our own bakery will remind you of the meaning of traditions.

After business hours Göran is available for private functions and is perfectly suited for parties or company events for more than 150 people. For private functions, the minimum rate starts from €1500 per event. In addition, Forum Marinum provides facilities for meetings from 10 participants up to 200 guests. We also provide catering for these facilities.

Equipment: white screen and video projector, wired microphone, sound system (not sufficient for bands), WiFi. Accessible space.
