Kylämäki Village in Kurala is made up of four farms with buildings still standing at their original sites. The village has been inhabited since the 7th century. Sigyn Hall is built in the grounds of the shipyard hall completed in 1928 and the rope factory built in 1934. This recently renovated administrative building dates back to 1967. It is a prime example of the architecture of its time. The Aitiopaikka banquet hall contains the building’s original protected stone wall. Situated on the Aura River, next to the Turku City Theatre, the large terrace provides a view of the river and the Independence Square.
