Sigyn Hall is built in the grounds of the shipyard hall completed in 1928 and the rope factory built in 1934. The Sigyn hall and its reception areas combine old shipyard atmosphere with internationally recognised modern architecture, and provide excellent facilities for concerts, seminars and events.
Turku Castle Banquet Halls are a unique, historical venue. Duke John and Katarina Jagellonica held the Renaissance Court in the King´s Hall, Queen´s Hall and Queen´s Chamber in the 1560s. Duke John’s Renaissance Banquet is a famous programme for dinner, where guests travel back in time to experience the ambiance and culture of 1562.
One of Turku’s finest hotels is also one of the most popular congress venues in the city. The adaptable and versatile second floor meeting facilities can host several hundred guests. The stylish and spacious first floor lobby area is suitable for small gatherings and receptions. The scenic windows of the stylish lobby areas and the banquet floor at Marina Palace display an unrestricted wall-length view of the Aura River, which provides a spectacular view when lit in winter as well as on a summer’s evening.
The main library has meeting, event, and exhibition facilities of various sizes available for rent. The facilities can be used during the opening hours of the library. Other times may be agreed on in exceptional cases. An additional fee will be charged if the facilities are used outside opening hours. A meeting room can be rented from the News Square (Uutistori) in the Main Library or online.
